Why Speedskating?
Coming from a family of speed skaters, it felt right to just keep it going.  Every time I ask myself the same question, I always say “because I love it so much and there’s nothing I want to do more”.
Hobbies outside of skating
I used to mod Xbox 360 controllers, also cleaning my shoes, and making my room dirty

I’m a closet nerd, and I eat more than anyone I know; well except my brother
Best day of my life
My high school graduation, because it was amazing to see my whole family all in the same place and happy. I’ve never been so happy in my life.
A moment that defines me
When I started skating in November 2005, I had struggled with behavior problems my entire life, medications, therapists, and special schools.  When I began skating, I was able to channel my anger through my skating, and a lot in my life changed for the better.  Through the years of having skating as an outlet, I was able to work my way into a regular high school and into general classes, and graduated.  I have taken myself off all of the medications, and have worked hard on my skating.  2012 was my 1st year in Pro Men at Indoor Nationals, and I won the 100m time trial.
